Just want to drop you a line to tell you how great your site is for us out-of- towners. To be able to listen to both my grandkids compete at the high school level from 1300 miles away is something I could only dream about before this year. FANTASTIC!!! Keep up the good work.

Bowling teams advance to state

Good Luck Bowlers!

The Lady Yellow Jackets shared eighth with Des Moines Hoover with a 2,376 pinfall. Ottumwa won the 2A title with a 2,959 total.

For Thomas Jefferson, Erica Christensen finished with a 360 and Anna Groat had a two-game total of 338. Sammi Miller shot a 330 and Paige Struck posted a 292. Caitlin Sollars had a 137 and Sarah Muckey added a 122.

The boys qualified for state after winning the Sub-State Boy's Bowling meet in Ida Grove, Iowa, topping six other teams. They finished with a pin total of 2731 beating second place Sioux City North by 100 pins. Thomas Jefferson had two individuals finish in the top four. Senior Ethan Arrick was second with a pin total of 422 in a 2 game series, and in third was sophomore Matt Farrell with a pin total of 385 in a 2 game series.

After winning sub-state the boys have qualified and will compete in the State Tournament on March 6 and 7 in Des Moines at Plaza Lanes.
